Time: Mondays 6:30pm - 9:30pm
The cost is $185 - A $50 dollar deposit holds a spot. The balance is due by the second class.
Moving beyond "being in your skin" and finding simplicity on camera.
Here, the focus is on script analysis, character development, rehearsal and auditioning.
We also take a serious look at getting there - there, being the "headspace" of the character.
This class is especially tailored to actors who have already been through the Foundational I class,
though that is not a requirement.
All work is filmed, viewed and discussed.

**Daytime Intermediate/Advanced Scene Study - 5 weeks (Limited to 8 actors)
Time: Tuesdays 10:30am - 1:30pm
Dates: June 11th - July 9th
The cost is $145 - A $50 dollar deposit holds a spot. The balance is due by the second class.
If the class is not full, one time participants are welcome for a $30 fee.
Unless an actor chooses to rework a scene, a new one is selected each week.
We (each actor and I) are looking for scenes that will help them move forward in their process and profession.
The requirement for this class is that actors understand the fundamentals of on camera acting and script analysis
and also have experience in front of the camera.
Actors are asked to bring in their scene work "camera ready".
All work is filmed, viewed and discussed.

FREE CLASSES

Free On Camera Scene Study Classes.
I am offering two free classes for those who have never taken class with him before.
Next week, during my break between sessions, I am offering 8 slots in each of my scene study classes for one time visitors at no cost. One class per person :-)
Once you are in, I need to make sure you get some material right away, so that you have time to prepare. Or, let me know if you wanna bring in your own material (I suggest something you have auditioned for or will be auditioning for...) My expectation for scene work is that it is brought in camera ready. Of course that means off book, but it also means ready to show up on the set and have fun. If you want to use the class to bring in an audition scene, you can do that instead. I can send you material that one sees locally (i.e. Under 5 pieces from Grimm) and you can come in with it audition ready. If you want helpful feedback , you would need to treat this opportunity like a real audition, so I would be seeing what you would normally bring in "the room." If you have any questions, drop me an email. Please let all communications regarding these two classes take place via email, as that is how I organize my classes.

If you have take from me before, and you would like to come, do let me know, and - room permitting - I will squeeze you in :-)
Please do not show up for class unless you have heard from me.
Notice the 10am start time on Tuesday and the 7pm start time on Wednesday. The studio address is below.

My next round of scene study class will begin the following week. I will also be starting a Foundational II class on Monday evenings

Audition For The Camera Class Added

You can still join in, Pay o\per class!

**On Camera Auditioning -  6 weeks (Limit 8)
Dates: April 16th - May 21st
Time: Tuesdays 6:30 - 9:30pm
Cost $175 - $50 dollar deposit to hold your spot. The balance is due by the
second class.
If auditioning is your job as actors, how can you ensure that your best work is consistently being seen "in the room?" Through discussions, exercises and simply practicing auditioning for the camera and reviewing the work, the class prepares you for that end. I hit on rehearsal /  preparation, do's and don't, how to stage an audition, the business side of things and the proper mentality going into the room - and any other questions that surface during class discussion. What is the work that needs to be done? How prepared should you be? How do you "let go" in the room? How can you nail the tricky "under fives?" These questions need to be addressed to enable you to establish an iron-class process that makes for professional, consistently good auditions.
