New OC I Class Starting in February

Hey All. I still will be starting up another On Camera One class in March, however, due to interest, I am squeezing in an extra OC I starting February 8th - Monday nights. For now, we need to stick with the online format - with the possibility of moving into my cozy studio for in person classes at some point. I continue to offer a substantial discount for my online classes, and I also allow for one deeply discounted spot per class for a person who is unable to afford it due to a Covid caused job loss (ask me for details).

As always, if you are dubious about how an online acting class works, you can audit the first class to see for yourself. I set aside a few spots in the first class for this purpose.

And, as always, please let me know if you would like to be removed from this list.

Dates: February 8th - March 22nd
Time: Mondays 6:30pm - 9:30pm
The total cost is: $240 (Flexible payment options)
$100 will register you
Auditing the first class is free to non-participating auditors ($20 to participate).

OC I is a great transitional class for theatre actors and an excellent foundational class for brand new actors.
Beginning with improv and easing into scripted scene work, this is a relaxed,
fun approach to getting comfortable being yourself using your imagination in front of the camera.
The objective of the class is to establish the foundations of a process that emphasizes
simply listening and talking - being "in your skin" - as opposed to in your head.
All work is filmed, reviewed and discussed - time permitting.
A 100 dollar deposit registers you. The deposit can be refunded up until 48 hours before the first class.
The rest of the payment ($140) is then due by the second class.

An Introduction

Ted Rooney - Acting Coach
On camera, Ted has amassed over 35 TV guest-star and recurring credits including Boardwalk Empire, ER, Gilmore Girls, Community, Lost, Weeds, My Name Is Earl, Seinfeld, CSI, It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia. Ted has over 20 principal movie roles (Gone, Legally Blonde, Santa Pups, Blood Work...) and over 35 principal appearances in commercials (Yes, he was Abe Lincoln in the Mt. Dew ad and the Rozerem spots :-) Locally, Ted has appeared in The Librarians, Grimm, Leverage, Portlandia, The Kill Hole, Bucksville and Cell Count. On Stage, Ted has acted locally at Corrib, Profile ad ART, and in regional theatres (Ahmanson - LA, Williamstown Theatre, The McCarter, The Wilma, The Arden, Portland Stage, and Idaho Shakespeare). He has performed in 10 off-Broadway plays and 10 plays in LA with the Actors Co-op. Ted has a BA in Theatre from Lewis and Clark College and an MFA in acting from Temple University. Currently, Ted is currently teaching and coaching acting out of his own studio space, as well as teaching on camera acting at Portland State University.
