SPRING CLASSES

ONE SPOT**Advanced Scene Study - 5 weeks (Limited to 8 actors)
Time: Thursdays 6:30pm - 9:30pm
Dates: February 20th - March 20th
The cost is $150 - A $50 dollar deposit holds a spot*. The balance is due by the second class.
If the class is not full, one time participants are welcome for a $30 fee.
Unless an actor chooses to rework a scene, a new one is selected each week.
We (each actor and I) are looking for scenes that will help them move forward in their process and profession.
Actors are expected to bring in their work "camera ready".
All work is filmed. Each actor receives their weekly video files. Time permitting, the work is viewed and discussed.
The requirement for this class is that an actor either has been through my On Camera Acting I and II classes,
or an actor is comfortable in front of the camera and is proficient in on camera acting and script analysis.
If I am unfamiliar with an actor who would like to take this class, before I invite them to join,
I would first need to either see some filmed scene work or meet with them.

**On Camera Acting I - 7 weeks (Limited to 8 actors).
Time: Wednesdays 6:30pm - 9:30pm
Dates: March 5th - April 16th
The cost is $250 - A $50 dollar deposit holds a spot*. The balance is due by the second class.
Beginning with improv and easing into scripted scene work, this is a relaxed,
fun approach to getting comfortable in front of the camera.
The objective of the class is to establish the foundations of a process that emphasizes
simply listening and talking - being "in your skin" - as opposed to in your head.
All work is filmed, reviewed and discussed.

FULL**On Camera Acting II - 7 weeks (Limited to 8 actors)
Time: Mondays 6:30pm - 9:30pm
Dates: March 3rd - April 14th
The cost is $220 - A $50 dollar deposit holds a spot*. The balance is due by the second class.
Moving beyond "being in your skin" and finding simplicity on camera,
here, the focus is on script analysis, the "headspace" of the character, rehearsal and auditioning.
We also take a serious look at "getting there" - There, being the headspace of the character.
Actors are expected to up the ante, as we get into the hard work of acting.
This class is especially tailored to actors who have already been through the Foundational I class, though that is not a requirement.
All work is film, reviewed and discussed.
