Authenticity in Life and On Camera

There is still room in my OC I class that starts this coming Tuesday.

More and more, I have absolute beginners and non-actors taking this class. And it seems that they often benefit the most. Perhaps, it is that they come with eyes wide open…meaning, with little preconceived notions. Also, their goal is much less ambitious than to be a successful actor. Many times, the motive is not even to be an actor. just to find more authenticity in how they express themselves and to find their voice. Turns out, this is a great class for this. So, not only are these great reasons to take an acting class, the “low bar” releases them from the pressure of getting results sooner than later. This way, they actually move forward faster than someone who is pushing. Some of the best, simplest and most genuine work in class comes from those who arrived with little to no experience.

So if you have been curious about acting, or just would like to learn a bit about self expressions and get more comfortable in your skin, this class is an excellent choice! Guaranteed :-) And for those of you veterans who still tend to bring a bit of extra performance to your work, this class will help you scale back and start to have fun.

On Camera Acting I - 7 classes / 8 weeks (NOTE: April 10th is OFF)
Limited to 12 Actors
Dates: February 27th - April 17th
Time: Tuesdays 6:30pm - 9:30pm
The total cost is $345.

Beginning with improv and easing into scripted scene work, this is a relaxed,
fun approach to getting comfortable in front of the camera.
The objective of the class is to establish the foundations of a process that emphasizes
simply listening and talking - being "in your skin" - as opposed to in your head.
This is a great transitional class for theatre actors and an excellent foundational class for new actors.
All work is filmed, reviewed and discussed - time permitting.

A 100 dollar deposit holds a spot. Refunded only up to 48 hours before the first class.
The balance ($245) is due by the second class, after which there is no refund.
